Scholarship

Each year, the NCNW Philadelphia Section Scholarship is open to a graduating senior attending a Philadelphia County high school  and meet the following criteria:

  • Applicant must be a resident of Philadelphia County
  • Applicant must be a graduating senior attending a Philadelphia County high school
  • Applicant must show evidence of outstanding academic achievement (GPA 3.0 or higher)
  • Applicant must have applied to an accredited college or university
  • Most recent high school transcript including grades through December 2024. (Interviewee will be required to submit an official transcript before the scholarship is awarded.)
  • One page personal statement (300-500 words)
  • Personal statement
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation. One from the high school (teacher, counselor, principal or coach) and one from the community (faith based leader, community leader, etc.) on business letterhead. Family members and friends are excluded.
  • Headshot must be uploaded with the application
  • Signed Student Declaration
  • Interview
  • Application deadlne is Friday, March 1, 2026
